    I am not exactly sure where I post this so if I am off please let me know or push the post to the correct section. Thanks


    I won this on ebay. I don't have it in hand. But I have been looking high and low on the net to see it being worn ect.

    I am thinking it may be a imperial or pre ww2 example

    It has a sold makers name, looks to have proper wear for age and decent storage.

    Would this be worn in action or for parade ect,

    any help would be awesome

    A very nice piece.

    These belts (known as Feuerwehrgurt or Hakengurt in German) were worn in action.

    This one is of pre-Third Reich vintage; TR-era models were of a different design (fully made of black leather, with a single twin-claw buckle etc.).

    Thanks. I figured It was Pre-TR. I am happy I was able to make a good call on this one.

    Thanks guys, I have been rooting around the past few hourse trying to find any period wear picture examples. this is going to be a fun challenge

    It's not a particularly clear image and may not be the exact same model of belt, but after Google-ing around for a bit myself, this is the best I can offer:
