    Judging by the overall construction, it appears to be a home-made piece and not an issued armband...I don't like the Maroon Color and the 1940 stamp is questionable as well, shouldn't really be there, in my opinion....I recommend staying on the safe side and passing on this one, you'd likely have a tough time reselling it later...

    I could Almost have accepted this one as being an early hand-made piece, but Then the faker had to go ahead and add a silly "1940" stamp to it which would make absolutely no sense at all. By 1940, armbands were no longer hard to obtain by anybody. This is a case of "You did good but Then you added just a touch too much and ruined it!"...

    But... wait: Maybe this just means that it was the 1,940th armband made by Rudolf Heß' aunt in her basement workshop back in 1921?
