German Gau Munich Badge

Hello,

I received this badge from a now-dead German soldier. I have done a little bit of research, but all i really know is that it is to commemorate the Beer Hall Putsch.

If anyone has any more info, It would be gladly appreciated. I will post up a photo of it shortly.

P.S. I (Rommel1942) will be posting up many more medals and insignia from this collection eventually.

First of all it's a very nice original Deschler Gau Munich badge. These badges were instituted by Adolf Wagner to those who participated in the Putsch from Munich. This badge was not a National award like the later Blood Order. These badges were still being awarded after the BO by Wagner for other purposes. These badges are very undervalued IMO due to their place in history. Here is a photo of the badge in wear.
