    Default German Tie Clasp? Help.

    Hi,

I am a noob here. I was hoping I could get some help on identifying a tie clasp I found amongst my grandfathers things. He died in 1972. His son fought in WWII and was captured in Italy. The overall look of the clip reminds me of a German item, but the back of the pin has Chinese or Japanese printing on it. I have searched the web and have not found an eagle like this one on any war patch or pin of any nationality. But it does look like the Nazi's used various eagle images. Any direction would be a big help.

    Regards,

    Greg

Hi Greg, welcome to the forum.

Not a WW2 item in my opinion. I think the eagle is just co-incidental.

    Cheers, Ade.
