This is one of 2 tinnies in my collection at the moment. I believe its the Wermacht swearing
allegiance to A.H. . Frankfurt -Mainz. Were there any other tinnies of the same ilk from different provinces?

You are correct, that the hand 'sign' is the one used for when swearing allegiance.

The 'Tinnie' itself celebrates the Day of the Wehrmacht (Tag = Day).

Simply Google a picture search for 'Tag der Wehrmacht tinnie' and you will see a shedload of variations

Thank you Sir! What rarity is this piece, and would you have a ballpark value? I am a badge and award collector, and tinnies are outside of my realm.

No problem, Sir. Sorry, no idea of ballpark value of these in your neck of the woods.
Besides, I dont collects Tinnies either.
Someone 'in-the-know' will be along soon, Im sure.

I found the Ruptured Duck has the same 1936 tinnie I have for $75.

I used to buy and sell some tinnies, never had this one, but a tinnie like this isn't usually more that $30-$35. $75 for any tinnie is a lot! I'd wait for a second opinion as like I said, never had this particular Wehrmacht Day tinnie.
