How do people react when they see your Nazi displays?

Article about: I stopped caring for other peoples opinions a long time ago. The only people that see my collection are my family members anyway, but I don't see a reason to hide my items if someone else co

In my office I have a party flag and a war flag accompanied by my DDR Flags. Most of the time people will see the cabinets with the medals and headgear and then just make the connection that i am a collector, most of the time it will generate an interesting conversation about some items. Other times i have had people come in mainly younger people and say " what is that" which then results in a light speed history lesson. But there has been one or two who have come in an asked are you a Neo Nazi of something. But after educating the uneducated they start to understand and see it as a historical item rather than a blatant display of national socialism.

So its more or less personal preference once again.

    Hello,
We all collect for different reason, for example I have a most of my medals and badges in safety deposit boxes (Some I look at maybe once a year-but I do not have the need to display them). I do have some Nazi flags (I show them in the classroom and when I do displays), I just choose not to hang one on my wall.

    Regards,
    Jody
I know, people have different views on the issue. I tend to be private and do not have to worry about people coming in for the most part so I do as I please and like to display the pieces, but tastefully as possible like many others. If I am forced to have someone here I dont know its a screening process really. No one would ever really know unless they get upstairs and I avoid that happening. Lot of people cannot do that for obvious reasons. But I like it.

I tell them I collect as an intellectual investment.

In France, we had German occupation, so impossible to show such items.

Outside of a museum context, that would most likely hold true for most of the German occupied territories.

I believe displaying the symbols of Soviet communism in Poland is also not permissible.

I keep my collection and display cabinets in my study in a spare bedroom of the apartment. I very rarely show anyone as my collection is for my interest only.

Perhaps the choice of name of your food retail business may have some bearing on this Morris.....???

Good thing that pizza place is in New York, Ned. If it were in Oz the PC brigade would be out in force!
