gunny, forgive my curiosity, but how the *************** do you have 4.29 billion posts in a year?
I do not. I have no idea what that is about.
I cant imagine righting that much.
The four billion post issue was brought up by me in the Moderators Forum. It was a glitch in the program that has since been corrected. However, it gave us all a few chuckles as our founder Adrian Stevenson's leading number of 20,000+ post was in jeopardy for a short time.
gunny, thanks for posting your examples. Possibly a few more may pop up that are in collections unkown to you. The differences between genuine and fake are quite easy to see.

LIFE'S LOSERS NEVER LEARN FROM THE ERROR OF THEIR WAYS.
I have more to come.
Thanks Bob, I am a regular on Wehrmacht-Awards.com and have been keeping an eye on this sight for a while. This topic gave me an opportunity to share with you guys hear what I have been working on over there. There will be more to come but first I have to make the wife happy. Please any one feel free to critisize me on any thing you do not agree on. That is the best way to come to a solid conclusion on this stuff, because to be honest there is still stuff out there that we have yet to see.
Okay, the top is a fake. This is one I personally have not had the opportunity to run tests on yet. Be warned, people are taking these and making armbands, not real.
The bottom is real.
The DLV is an early organization and was around when chain stitching was at its end. Before the Reich came into power hand chain stitching was how sport patches where mostly made, not all but most. This example is believed to be for sport shirts, by myself and others. That said, there is no photo evidence to support this, yet. We do have people looking for photos. With that said, there are dozens of sport insignia that there is photo evidence of, but non are known to exist as of today. I for one hope to find these in an attic some day.
