Luftschutz badge, maybe civilian volunteer.
This is my most recent purchase, sold to me as a German Air Defense Lapel badge.
My question is; who wore this badge? My guess is that it wasn't a member of the uniformed services, but probably a civilian Luftschutz volunteer. I suppose that it was worn on the lapel of a suit or jacket. I have not seen any like it on the web, though the design is similar to the swastika / wings designs on Luftschutz helmets. It is silver washed and measures 25mm from wing tip to wing tip. There are no markings on the badge.
Thanks for any help / info on this nice little item.

re: Luftschutz badge, maybe civilian volunteer.
I cannot comment on originality, but this is the 1938-pattern Zivilabzeichen [= Badge for wear on civilian clothing] for the Luftwaffe's civilian employees and workers. (Prior to that, a different pattern was worn.)

Vielen Danke.
Thanks for the info, clears up a nagging doubt I had as to it being a Luftschutz abzeichen.
