Metal pennant, but whats if for?

I have been looking at some photo's and came across one in which there was a metal pennant. I was hoping someone might have an idea of what is signify's as I don't have a clue.

The construction and enamel work are unlike work from the period. As you said, it also does not meet any design used by any organization during the 3rd Reich era. Being black and white and having a totenkopf, it is likely intended to fool a novice as being some form of SS car pennant.

Hi Bob,
Well this is what makes the hobby interesting and I am afraid you are wrong on this one for sure. The pennant in the photo is from an original photo album of the time which has not been played with in any way. The pennant is 100% original although I have no idea of its purpose.

Hi Glenn,
I tend to agree with you, especially as the skull and cross bones are in a triangle but it would be nice to know exactly what its for . I think Bob was a bit quick off the mark with his 4th Reich Militaria, but as far as I am concerned it can only get better from here on in.
