Well never mind about the gas part but I was probably thinking about this:
In mid-1942 in Baranowicze, occupied Poland, experiments were conducted in a small building behind the private home occupied by a known Nazi SD Security Service officer, in which "a young boy of eleven or twelve [was] strapped to a chair so he could not move. Above him was a mechanized hammer that every few seconds came down upon his head." The boy was driven insane from the torture.
Tell us more!! Don't leave us hanging like that, lol...
cheers, Glenn
Not meaning to sidetrack the thread, but the Baranowicze experiment/ torture report is from an uncorroborated 2009 memoir: page 135. "Remember Us: My Journey from the Shtetl through the Holocaust", by Martin Small and Vic Shayne. It is referenced on the linked wiki article, see ref. no. 7.
I have my doubts about its accuracy, although of course there are many well documented inhuman experiments conducted by the German's on unfortunate victims.
I collect, therefore I am.
Nothing in science can explain how consciousness arose from matter.
There is also the fact that many documents were burned and destroyed.
Isn't this straying a bit far off topic?
So this is the hammer guys pennant, bringing the thread back on track......kind of.
Still think it it some chemical, related thing.
