This badge were handed out at the 1936 meetings for the 1 May festivities.
here my example of 1935 Tag der Arbeit
Hi Pierre. Are you saying that the 1st Mei tinnies took over from the Tag der Arbeit ones after 1936 and that they were both intended to celebrate the same event? This would make sense seeing as I cannot find TDA tinnies dated after 1935 and 1st M ones before 1936.
Tom
same event ! i post some pic showing the 1may or Tag der Arbeit look the last one , i seen many tinnies with the 1 mai and Tag der Arbeit before 1935
Thats a lovely little tinnie Stewy, and look at that its even got your name on it LOL, i wish there were some shops around here that have this type of militaria in them , ive been to norfolk many times but havent done any browsing there.
based on the book tinnies of the reich , its the same event
Thanks Pierre. I never knew that they were for the same event, and yes you're right I also have a Tag der Arbeit 1934. Silly me. Why would they have made two sorts, one with TdA and one with just 1st Mei? Any idea? Sorry for the stupid questions.
Tom
