Article about: I just recently started collecting. This is the first armband I bought and was wondering if its real. Any tips on armbands would be great. thanx for lookin.

    It is an original State Employees armband.

    Some people have told me that its a non-combat wermacht armband or is that the same thing, sorry im very new to collecting. I appreciate all your help. Do you know what the stamps mean?

    It has nothing to do with Armed Forces.These were simply worn by Govt employees as humble as a street sweeper.

    The ink stamps are just too faded to read. But they will be stamps to show the item is officially inspected and belonged to a certain dept or locality.

    Ade is on the money - it's a state service armband. The stamps can also tell where teh armband was issued as the name of the town/city is usually stamped there....but these are pretty faded. Nice armband!
    Careful - these get addictive!
