As another month of unemployment settled upon me I felt that a little retail therapy was in order. I've been wanting a party kampfbinde for some time but had elected to hold out for an example still sporting its RZM tag.

Last week this example popped up on the estand at WAF and not only was it clearly tunic removed (with pieces of green/grey cotton still evident) but it had a lovely RZM tag AND came with the original US army bring back letter to a Sgt Peden of the 603rd TD Bn.

So here she is, to my mind this is a textbook example of a uniform removed party kampfbinde with the correct 'D' on the tag to denote wool construction. I believe the '275' manufacturer to be Adolf Kofer of Sebnitz but I stand to be corrected on that point.

The smell of the wool is a lovely, musty smell of age.
