Does anyone know the history behind this item, and have an appraisal of actual worth?
It kinda looks like an original that had the pin at one time reattached which covered up the 7 in the 18837.But it is missing the makers mark GB from above the numbers ...could go either way.
It is a membership pin for the NSFK worn on the lapel of civilian clothing. Welcpme to the forum

The pin break seems to be a common problem with these. The Icarus looks fine.
The F is for Forderer (sponser) those members who have gave a monthley contribution.

I would say 30 dollars would be max IMO.

Another example of someone who believes they are entitled to the many hundreds of years of study found on this site among it's members and moderators. Some days I wish this site would be for paying members only, that would help weed out the drive bys.
Not a bad idea. At least we could prohibit non paying members from posting or selling on the site. Too many people have no idea that there is an expense to keep this place going.
