I'm still not convinced. I do not know these badges so not sure if there are different variations. But a few things I would like to have others with more experience opine on. See picture below. Further, if you look closely at the lettering on the bottom, the "T" and "G" in the word MotorGr looks to be different than the collectors guild version.
It sure does have wear and patina to it.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

Different makers? Worn dies? If it is a repro, they oddly copied the strange 2 tabs/2 piece design fairly well. Personally, I'm not really seeing anything drastic or alarmingly different.

I like the construction and finish, it's gen for me compared to the solid zinc fakes you find out there. As long as it wasn't too pricey, (the missing back plate means whatever the vendor could get for it was a bonus as far as I'm concerned), it's a decent filler item for an N.S.K.K. themed collection IMO.

Thanks gents. That is positive news. I had a feeling it was worth a second look when I saw the construction in person. I only took a small chance, about the same price as a case of beer in the end (I would really rather the beer over a repro badge!), I probably paid about it's worth, perhaps a tad under. I'm guessing it is going to be near impossible to complete this badge with original parts? Anyway a nice thing to add to my very small collection! Cheers
