You have to be careful it isn't an Italian motor cycle helmet or a Civilian German helmet. I have had a first pattern and a second pattern. Both were well marked and had RZM tags. They had much different side vents and ear flaps. A quick Google search didn't show one like this. The Wilhelm Saris book Headgear of Hitler's Germany has a good chapter on these crash helmets. I will have a look and see if he shows one like this.

This is likely an early Motor SA helmet. It also appears to have a gold eagle, which was used for a very short time to match the Gruppe color that used a gold uniform button. They are seldom seen with this gold eagle and appears to me to be correct.

Looks like that eagle has been on there a long time to me, it has sunken into the leather nicely and thats what most originals do, its a bit salty but would clean up nice, I would buy it for the right price.

Remeber that Motor SA were formed before the NSDAP came to power. They utilized whatever was available at the time. Even with the later RZM patterns of the sturzhelm, variations can be found in construction.
