On Dec 1939 an armbadge was introduced for wear by former members of the NSKK who had volunteered for duty with Death Head units ...

With the 1935 NSKK dress-regulation the metal wheel-device, as well as the white woven/embroidered versions were mentioned.
The silvered, metal wheel was taken over from the Motor-SA, where also the white woven version was worn. The NSKK
copied this in spring 1934. Members from the Motor-SS also did wear this patch. They earlier did wear the cufftitle with the white wheel.
