nskov badge with zinc pest?

hi.
is there some kinda "pest" on this badge?
i have heard about zinc pest, but this badge is not made of zinc.
is it a smart thing to either throw this away/keep it from other badges?

Do as harryamb2 suggested. It is indeed a zinc badge. Apply a liberal amount of Vaseline on the badge, leave for a day and wipe off the excess. If you are hell bent on casting it aside my address is.....
