    Here's an example from Austria...Pflichtfeuerwehr is the Compulsory Fire Service - rather than a voluntary fire dept...
    If the Mayor of a Municipality cannot muster enough Volunteers, he's allowed to draft citizens for Mandatory Fire-Fighting Duties...

    I would ask,though-why is the Austrian version hyphenated into 2 words and Stig's example isn't?

    Fakers like to make things with swastikas, SS runes and RZM marks. There is usually a good sign when a piece does not have any of the above.

    The Hyphen is Optional in this case, as the word is comprised of Two Words combined into One, as German tends to do - resulting in notoriously long words, lol...
