Am I correct in thinking this is a fake? I know of these with woven silver thread, but not printed. Any comments welcome, thank you.

Hi Tom,
I was just reading up on a few sites about these, and it seems that the jury is still out. Most folk say that a lack of photographic evidence leads them to believe that these are indeed reproduction pieces. There are, as you say, woven variants with silver thread, and these seem more period in appearance. Also, I found an armband on a site earlier, that appears to match the example you have posted today, and that kampfbinde was being advertised as a reproduction piece. I can't say for certain, but my feeling is that these are not genuine period pieces.
Regards,
Carl
It is a definite fake. Equipment for the RAD would never have a RZM tag. The printed examples of this pattern are all fakes.

Thanks Carl & Bob. This was my understanding as well, but always best to ask.

I should also mention that the ink stamp on the RZM tax label is a definite no no. An example of more glitch to impress those without experience.

Thanks Bob. I took that as a given once you had confirmed my suspicion.
