Rad tunic

Guy's, this RAD tunic has a clothing depot tag. Was this common on all issued tunics or just RAD? Thanks, Hal

Hi Hal, I have seen unissued Luftwaffe tunics with similar labels on the sleeves.

I concur. In the late 1960's, someone found bales of unissued Luftwaffe flieger blouses with breast eagle and blank collar tabs attached in Holland. They were available in yellow, black, red, orange and green colored collar piping and blank tabs. You could order by branch color and even request size. All of this for $15.00 each!

Must have been great back in the day. Of course with inflation those prices may have been high back then. That is a really nice tunic you have there. I always thought most tunics coming straight from the factory should have the depot tag along with the stamps.
