It's a good looking badge Alec, something strangely appealing about the design. I like the contrast between the two finishes. I'm guessing it's a one piece badge and the corn ear and sword are not seperately applied?

I like it too Alech these are very attractive. Adrian it is a sheaf of wheat on it.

Lol! I typed that to start with and it didn't seem right, I tried Googling the correct term and couldn't make up my mind, a sheaf is a bundle of stalks, as per the top of the motif and the ear is the bottom part so I was half right!
