Just wanted to share a couple of pictures of 4 Reichspateitag badges that I recently acquired from 1934,1935, 1936 & 1938.
The details are as follows:
1934, Deschler, 38mm in diameter & weighs 18 grams
1935, Deschler, 37mm in diameter & weighs 17 grams
1936 , L.CHR.LAUER, 38.5mm in diameter & weighs 17 grams
1938, FR.ZIMMERMAN , 42mm in diameter & weighs 6 grams
I wanted to get these badges as a representation of the historical events of those years, I do have a 1933 example, which is on the forum & will have to keep my eye out for a nice 37 & 39 one, at some point !
Regards
Paul
Tinnies are still somewhat reasonably priced for TR items.
A great variety exist covering many if not all TR organization and early events.
An under appreciated TR collectable.

I thought the same, a lot of history connected to these badges & attainable !

Two recent acquisitions, 1937 & 1939 RPT tinnies:
1937 is 42.7mm in diameter & weighs 5 gramms, maker M.REICH
1939 is 42.2mm in diameter & weighs 6 gramms, maker BRUDER SCHNEIDER A.G. RZM M9/238
The 1939 example's detailing is not as sharp as the 37,38 examples that I own, but in low light the detailing is all there, appears to have been lightly pressed. Both badges are made of zinc alloy with pins being magnetic.

Paul
