It was in a job lot of polish and russian medals, that i bought when i worked in Germany.

Paid 30 Euros for the lot..so no harm done..

The Saris book on enamel signage has many examples of the RZM retail signs in their number. The book is an impressive piece of research.

I just bought it at the Zinnfiguren Kabinett/ Familie Scholz in Berlin. Saris published it himself, I think. He did not do so through Roger Bender. I am sure you can find it in the internet. I shall include the isbn number later. It is very exhaustive. I own a sort of 08/15 RZM sign that I found in Wittenberg in Sachsen Anhalt.

No, I did not publish it myself. It was released at VDM (Verlag Druckerei Medienvertrieb) Heinz Nickel (Modellbau Bücher Verlag Antiquariat VDM Heinz Nickel). There you can buy it!
The reason for no ISBN-number or so was that we expected problems, due to its propaganda-look.

Thought I would add the RZM mark on my PL PPK with no M number to this thread. This is the only non M # RZM marked party item that I know of.

corresponds to the tops of flags, wall emblems.

In the RZM-list it was mentioned as Emaillierwerk AG Josef Hölzle, Wien,
so FB is correct. It was not yet included in the lists, included with the
1938 manufacturing-regulations. The permission will have come after
the annexation of Austria.

Thank you, Wim, I put the comma in the wrong place. I used Clyde Davis' list from 1976.
Naturally, if the place was in Vienna, it is after the fact of March, 1938.
Davis misspells Hoelzle. Germans also could not spell their own names, which is a source of endless mirth to collectors.
