    Default S A Ehrensturmfahne

Party members who were slain during the rise to power were considered martyrs to the cause. Members of the S A, S S, N S K K and H J who died during the early years of struggle were honored with their unit receiving an honor title, which would be attached to their sturmfahne and worn on the uniform in the form of a cufftitle bearing the martyr's name.
This is the S A Sturmfahne of Sturm 22, Standarte 138, Duisburg, Gruppe Niederrhein. It bears the name of Freidrich Heine, a member of the turm and the married father of two. Heine was killed in a clash with red front activists on March 4, 1933.
