Re: sa ostmark tunic
The Gruppe color for Ostmark is a redish pink. Light blue was the Gruppe color for Hochland and Bayerische Ostmark. The edelweiss collar tab is something I have never seen before. This form of edelweiss is the RZM pattern for the Austrian SA units. The right side tab usually has numbers indicating Gruppe and Sturm number. Does this tunic have belt ramps?

hi bob
this tunic has belt runners at the back, left and right side so 6 holes in total
thanks for the info so far

Re: sa ostmark tunic
The tunic appears to be an other ranks piece with officer insignia applied. Officer tunics are found made of a finer wipcord material without belt ramps. The unusual right collar tab combined with the enlisted grade tunic would give me some concern.

I do not think any further images will help me. The tunic appears to be a standard RZM pattern piece. In the early
90's, a number of unissued tunics of this pattern were found in what had been the old East Germany.

The rank pips are correct. What I do not like is the edelweiss collar patch as this form of edelweiss is the Austrian RZM pattern. Without a hands on examination, my thoughts are that it is possibly a post war assemble. This is my opinion based on the pictures. Possibly others will have a differing view.
