    Anybody familiar with SA tabs?

They are not SA tabs. They are NSFK, rank of Scharfuhrer from Standarte 78. My only reference does not list a Standarte 78 but I would not be concerned about that as these tabs are period original

Bob, thanks very much for your reply. Can you tell me the difference between NSFK and SA tabs please?

If I see right, the collor for the patches looks like green.
Collar patches for the NSFK were to be from grey-blue material
(Farbe des Grundtuches = graublau), according to the
uniform-regulation Bekleidung des NSFK from September 3, 1937).

78 stands for Osnabrück in the Nordsee-area, which has steel-green.
But something does not seem right, for example the color for the pip.

With orders from June 1939 the form of embroidery changed from
Kettenstich into Plattstich (Mitteilungsblatt der RZM nr. 12 from
June 17, 1939, page 171). With an order from May 1941 the piping around
the collar-patch should be from 2,0 mm yellow artificial silk ( ibid, nr. 8
    from May 81, 1941 - gelbe Klöppelschnur).

Thanks Wim. The base color appeared to be gray on my monitor. Along with the yellow piping, I was sure they were NSFK. Thanks for the correction.

Thanks for your help. On The War Relics Forum, moderator Bob Coleman is telling me these are NSFK tabs, this is a real surprise, can anyone else comment on this? https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/non-co...a-tabs-576188/

Thanks for pot shot over at WAF. If you had posted all the pictures you posted there here, it would have been evident to me from the start that they were SA. Not a good way to get future assistance.

Please accept my apologies Bob. I was not critiscising you, in fact I am ingnorant of political insignia ( I dont know the difference between NSKK and SA insignia) and respect your opinion and was asking for further information. I was worried to find that these were NSFK tabs as these were not what I was looking for for my collection. I have no wish to upset any of my respected fellow members and I hope that you will accept my sincere apology for any offence caused.

I have also posted an explanation on the WAF forum.
