A very attractive piece featuring the Hochland edelweiss, which was worn on the left side of all forms of headgear of the SA and NSKK from Hochland.

I hope that I am not appearing overly pedantic here, however Klotz und Kienast were not the manufacturers of this badge. Instead they designed it and apparently, Anton Klotz and Eugen Kienast were famous for their auto related posters.
Usually the manufacture of this badge is RZM M9/3 as L. Christian Lauer, Münzenprägeanstalt, Nürnberg.

Thank you Mr. North! You have shed some light about this piece! I took the K.u.K as the makers mark due to the reverse inscription.
