SA Trefen Badge in Box

I'm all one for learning. I came across this badge for sale earlier, described as "In it's original rare LDO box"

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is an RZM controlled badge? Why would it be in an LDO box? Am I missing something?
And I don't much care for the badge either.
What do you reckon chaps?

imo John the pin is wrong,they were making them with a more robust pin and attachment by then.

Is this an aluminum badge? The solid aluminum versions I've seen are RZM Marked and have a different reverse, as Harry has noted...As you know, the other prior Type I and II versions are hollow...I can't comment on the case as I've never seen one quite like it...

The LDO had nothing to do with the RZM so the box is wrong for the badge. That said, I don't like the badge either.

Wrong pin set up, wrong box....no good all around.
