Make that two of us Sarge!
Get in line Duff
Well, be patient! First I have to dig them out and then I have to get a buddy to come over and take photos since my camera died and I've not replaced it.
Besides, If you haven't shown a lot of your collection you probably have whatever I have that you haven't shown yet.
Sarge
Reichswehr
(German army 1919 - 1935)
1st Battalion,19th infantry Regiment of the 7th district.
This patch identified the branch of service along with the unit.
The blue identifies the district and the double black is for infantry.
Decreed on March 15, 1922 used till Oct 22, 1932.
I also posted an SA version of this type of patch that is yellow, I am still investigating that patch and the RZM stamp on the back but if you were to decipher it as if it was military then it would be for the 15 Cavalry.
I am looking for more of these so any leads would help and most people have no idea what these patches are so they are not easy to come across.
Nice!
Allianz
Still around today and the owners of the Allianz Arena in Munich Germany. Some how this company came out of Nazi Germany ahead.
Here is a link to the Allianz website explaining there history from 1933 - 1945 Allianz during the Nazi era
Here are 2 patches constructed differently.
What I find interesting is out of all my insignias the one Allianz patch is constructed and feels identical to the SS sport patches.
