The NSFK was first established in the early 1930's, then it was replaced by the DLV. Later, in 1937, the DLV was disbanded and the NSFK was again brought back into action. The DLV insignia and the NSFK insignia are completely different. Attached are photos of each one. Only the NSFK used the Icarus or "winged man" symbol of the two.

Default Long Service Award Stick Pins

Today I received a Wehrmacht 3rd class Long Service award stickpin for 12 years. Here its alongside my 4th class 4 year award pin. It's been a long time since I posted any of my stickpins but I revived this old thread rather start a new one.

    Default Stick pin Collection Update

So this is what I have collected over the last 8 years ! I actually didn't realize how many pins I had until I decided to gather them all up and dedicate a display case just for them. That of course led to a renewed interest in the pins and went hog wild scouring the planet for anything I didn't already have. There are a couple of stinkers in here which I haven't had the heart to remove yet and banish to the pile of discredited rubbish. I'll leave that up to fellow members to pick them out if they so wish. I'd be happy to take any pin out and photograph it for further discussion if there is interest in any particular item. Well here they are in all their Glory !

Thanks ! You have a beautiful focused collection. I can't help myself, I try to focus on one area then I move on to something else. I'm blown away by the WWI Iron Cross stickpins you have. I have one in the top right corner of the first pic. They are so large and nicely detailed.
