Hi Bob, I think it might be worth adding some more background info about Herr Wagner. I suspect many might not of heard of him nor realise how close to Hitler he was in the early days of the Party.

Robert Wagner was an infantry officer in World War 1. He remained in the army until 1924. An early supporter of Hitler, he participated in the aborted 1923 Putsch and was imprisoned six different times for formenting political unrest. In Baden, he formed and established the Nazi Party. In 1930, he became Civil Administrator for Alsace, where he was responsible for the deportation of it's Jew to occupied France. In 1945, Wagner was turned over to the French and tried by a military tribunal. Convicted of crimes against humanity, he was executed by firing squad on 14 August, 1946.
