Fireman seems a good guess. Nordwest...... something? The thing under the NW looks like a stylized 47 to me a little bit.
Post war I reckon, it'd have to have a " RZM" stamp, or be really early TR...
But the style of helmet looks post war, and as said possibly a stylized year "47" or a district number....cool badge
No; it's "LFV" for "Landesfeuerwehrband" (State Fire Service Organization), while the "NW" is for "Nordrhein-Westfalen" (North Rhine-Westphalia).
It's the Bronze Grade Leistungsabzeichen (Proficiency Badge) of the LFV NW and it is post-war.
(Allow me to add, though, that a Fire Service badge would not have had an RZM mark even in the Third Reich.)
Hello
thank you Gentlemen
cordially
