Unknown item any ideas

Ok guys, I'm not even sure if I stuck this in the right sub section, so feel free to bin it should you so wish, But I chanced upon this item which came with a medical flag It is thick heavy material with 4 ties, one on each corner, with the stamp as seen, measures 18 inches by 3 feet approx, and really looks like a tee towel.....it can't be LOL
Any help in identifying this would be appreciated. I'm sure someone will know

Looks like a sort of towel to me....The HU stands for Heeresunterkunft, Army Billeting...

Yep! He nailed it. The ties on the corners were to tie it to the bed or what ever so it wouldn't come off.
