Bearing in mind that the werewolf organisation was supposed to be an underground resistance movement, involvement with which would by the 'laws of war' attracted the death penalty, therefore i can't really see them advertising their membership by means of a lapel badge.

Not heard of these pre war units. I would like some more info if possible on who they were. I take it they were a non military political body. Were the Werewolfs at the end of the war linked to them?

    Cheers

Here a link in german, maybe somebody can translate it with a tool:

    Wehrwolf

Indeed it seems to be a policial para-military organization which was founded when the Ruhrgebiet was occupied by french troops in 1923. In the beginning they were no part of the NSDAP or Stahlhelmbund.

When the nazis gained power over Germany the Wehrwolfbund was totally integrated into the SA movement.
