Article about: what is this tunic for, i have no idear, its grayish near black and i got this from a house clearence sale too, and what is the value of this item

    I agree with Stuka/Kris on this, as there are a few differences

    The Red Cross tunics shown seem to have 5 button fronts, and the first one posted for ID
    appears to have six buttons and doubled cuffs - extra material at the cuff
    for six or inches or so. Also, the collar on the first one is the same
    material as the rest of the jacket.

    A look to see if anything was removed from the sleeve, as Jock suggests,
    might give up a clue, unless it was unissued.

    Just looking at my Brian L Davis book "German Uniforms of the third reich 1933-1945" check pg 202, it could be a factory guard uniform?

    Also my first impression, but I was thinking at Flemish volunteers guarding factory's like the Reitz factory in Merksem Belgium.
    Just based on memory ....
    I don't know if theyre was any similarity with German one's....
    Always looking for Belgian Congo stuff!
