Thank you all for your comments. Chrys, it wouldn't surprise me if this is the same banner that you had seen at the SOS. This is maybe the second WHW banner that I've seen. don't think there are that many around. I would imagine items like this were pretty much used and then discarded as opposed to actual flags perhaps. Thanks again for the translation which I forgot to mention in my first post. Carfin, I see you are from Alsace, I have a couple of plates referring to Alsace Lorraine by a company called Sarreguimmes(?). Wonder if I put pics in a thread somewhere on forum you or others might have some info regarding them. Not really my area of collecting, picked them up as the price was right. In any case thanks again to you, Chrys and Dave for your replies.
