Thankyou koppel71 and others. This thread relates to what is in my opinion, a classic and iconic series of buckles which and without exception, have a long pedigree and long history. I think that some of the DT and FFFF buckles are still easy to secure and and at very reasonable prices. Having said that, who knows anything about these chaps? Is there a difference between the Turnerschaft and the Turnerbund? Is there a difference between the DT and the FFFF? Why is the FFFF buckle so common? Why do we see so many FFFF buckles with makers marks not seen on any other buckles?
I do like the first buckle posted by koppel71. A fabulous and flowing design. The construction most surprisingly including the now well documented "ugly" one piece claw arrangement.

David
