Convinced !- Jungdeutscher Orden !! Great postcard by the way.

Thankyou to all for the quite remarkable contributions in relation to a grossly misunderstood and yet interesting buckle.

    Regards,

My grandfather has been Grosskomtur for the Grossballei Silesia.
Saddly enough non of his belt buckles surrived. But at least I can ad a picture of JuDos with box buckles. Even if off topic I also would like to show two female membership items from my grandmother.
And finaly my favority Mahraun picture (I have quite a few, some with signature).

Not much to show is left. My grandfather seriously pissed the Nazis at some point relativly early on and had to keep his house clean of evidence from there on.
He even got court-martialed in 1941 for illegal political activity and only came out of it savely because the judge was a JuDo also.

Here he (center of the picture) is at Gleiwitz in the mid-20s, Artur Mahraun in the row behind him on the left.

thanks for the picture and the background story - living history !
Too bad, my grandpa died to early, so I can't ask questions about his life. He was in the Reiter SA, mainly because he was kind of grown up by Pioneers, liked horesriding and made some sparemoney, helping the soldiers, when he was a kid.

Thomas, you've posted already a photo from my collection

Unfortunetly JungDo photos with good visible belt buckles are quite hard to find. I have many group pictures, but only one or two portraits...
