Hey!
This Buckle says "FURCHTOS UND TREW"
Does anybody know why it doensn't say "treu" instead of "trew", as "treu" is the actual word for loyal/faithful.
The word "trew" doesn't even exist in German (nowadays).
cheers,
0.S.
Here you are guys just one to add to your database more Weimar than Imperial

my new buckle.
Here one for the Imperial database, a nice M95 Prussian Heer buckle with DRGM markings on the prongs sleeve

Hi Chaps, here's a couple that are in the post. First up a pretty standard 1916 dated steel Prussian.
What makes it rare is the ink stamp 'J.R.17.M.G.' signifying a machine gun unit in Infanterie-Regiment Graf Barfuss (4.Westfalisches) Nr. 17. Ink stamps are not often seen on tabs,
Cheers,
Richard.
Next is a nice variant Würtemberg with an unusual roundal fitting & a full maker stamp, Cheers, Richard.
