Iraqi Composite Helmets

Where the hell is one supposed to post an Iraqi M80 nowadays....here?...GWOT?...or start yet another 4 post thread on the same item????

Either way, I've chosen to bolt it onto this existing thread (well, the Thread title kinda says it all....and I'm sure these guys won't mind)

A nice pairing.....found thrown out of a house clearance in Kuwait....the helmet is no real surprise (tho I love the camo) but the Brit Canteen is an unexpected addition. They were FOUND together...but I guess that doesn't necessarily mean they entered the house together originally.......




The liner and sweatband are present....but very very "tired"...and it's always nice to find any kind of strap

with many items there was always more than one place to post items, especially helmets and some other items, it was those items that did not have their own world area such as soft headgear or uniforms that did not fit into the world wars sections that the new sections helped to place into somewhere they belong. Israeli berets for one had no real home.

I don't know the models.
One helmet was used as liner!

That’s a very interesting piece.....I’ve not seen an M80 used as a liner even though that’s what they’re most likened to.....nor have I seen the old post war German net fitted to an M1 shell - usually they’re on the M80 themselves....

'pretty sure I've not shared this one before.......I THINK this is an Iraqi-used Korean "PASGT"....two helmets/countries in one...possibly..... (the writing on the side probably says "M88 Training Helmet"!



Presumably there should be a sweatband in there......
