anyone seen this one before ?

Article about: Hey Guys Friend of my picked up this sword, supposed to be a Swedish army officer sword. Has anyone seen this pattern before ? The etched blade is really nice,but without maker mark.

    It does have the Swedish Coat of Arms on it , great looking sword

    Excellent engraving and blade finish. The 3 crowns definitely make it Swedish. Is a first for me-I've never run into one like it before either. Very nice, in any case!

    I can't help authenticate the sword but is is a beautiful sword and it shows quality workmanship i would be proud to have in my collection

    Nice Sword Ivan..quite beautiful. It has that German Craft about it which looks like many of the Lion Had swords we see on this forum. Maybe this Swiss maker had ties with its Solingen neighbors? Regards Larry

    Yes it's Swedish, and "Fäderneslandet" means Fatherland but I dont see what the other text says from that picture.

    I found this auction site and there is a couple of swords which is quite like yours but I'm not sure if there is one like you have.
    The most similar ones is from the middle and down.

    so perhaps we have narrowed it down to a year atleast? i dont know im no expert on swedish sabers

    Similar piece for sale at an auction in Sweden.
    Makers make is visible: E.Svalling Eskilstuna (Gustaf Emanuell Svalling i believe).
    Eskilstuna is a town located aprox 12 swedish mil west of Stockholm and it has a great history in making weapons.
