    Default E.F. Horster Lionshead/Pantherhead Saber

    Here is another sword I've acquired. I can't figure out if its a lion or a panther. Can anyone tell me more about this item? It's in pretty good shape. I will try to get better pictures over the weekend. Thanks!

    I believe its a lions head from the pics. Did you happen to pick this up at an auction in Hatfield ?

    No. I was at the auction and there were 4 or five theses there. Either way its a very nice sword. congrats

    100% Lionhead type.

    It's a Lions head (the hair of the mane gives that away) and a very Nice one at that. With your dove's head, they make a fine pair.

    Thanks for the info. I just picked up a crusty first model Luft dagger and a couple of extras yesterday. Posts on the way. For whatever reason, I'm really drawn to the 3R sabers. I think it's because they are affordable but also extremely attractive and well crafted. They are usually less expensive than a dagger of equal condition.

    Hello naptime, If you have not already done so, you really should look through one of our members posted collection of swords-Michael Ryan. He has, in my opinion, perhaps one of the most mind boggling collections anywhere in the World. Here is the link to it, if you'd like to take a look.
