Where did you find this? Looks like it was saved by someone who didn't store it right...It does have the early maker mark for Rich.A.Herder. Nice
Nice find Timothy

I like it as well - indeed a nice find. Swords can be addictive !
It may have lost it's scabbard in more recent times, as the
blade looks in much better condition than the grip.........

Collector friend of mine had it for years decided to get rid of some pieces said he had it stored in the scabbard most of the time he is still looking for scabbard for it and if not is going to try and find me a spare they aren't that hard to find harder than a bayonet scabbard but they are around it looks good on the wall the way it is NCO knot is very nice on it. timothy

I love the Rich. Herder productions, always well build daggers & swords.
This one looks good, having a bit of storage wear aint that bad i think.
I like the knot with its typical wear
#Fbeaty, about the Herder logo, its correct this one is the early one, but strangly on its 1st pattern Luftwaffe dagger ( nickle/silver)they started with the second type and later switched to the early logo on the Alu version of its 1st pattern.
Cheers,
Ger
