Hi Gary, You have made an old man very envious!! The sword is indeed a cracker and one that I would buy without hesitation. I have been collecting swords for quite a few years and have never seen the military eagle presented in this fashion before. Unique I do not know, rare yes without a doubt. In my opinion, the langet, guard, pommel, back strap and cross guard are all of the highest quality and beautiffuly executed. A realy nice find, congratulations!! Oh, and if you are still looking for "the right spot to place it" I would be happy to place it in my sword room for you!!

Thanks for looking Michael. I have spent some time looking at this sword since I bought it every time I look at it I see something new on it. She is far from mint but has a very safe home now. I've talked to the seller and she was telling me she had an "expert" look at it and he told her it wasn't a very good sword not worth much. Gary
