Value? Never seen a sword, and I don't want to pay 1000 £ to much :P

Looks fine to me, but certainly not for 1000 pounds. (that, and the knot needs to be tied properly)

I didn't want to pay 1000£ more than needed

I can get it for 555£ + shipping

But I don't know when it was made, where it was used, who used it etc..

It's a WWII era German Army officer's sword. The model is referred to the "Dove Head" as opposed to the other common variety, the Lion Head. You see these commonly selling for the $5-600 range here in the US. I can't Quite make out the makers emblem beneath the guard,but commonly seen makers are Alcoso, WKC, and several others.
