This one caught my eye...
It's a Danish sword with what looks like a German portepee ?
The cord is approx 45cm, without the knot.
What do you guys think ?

Lets see the sword, HB!
"Protepee"
Looks like an army portepee, seems to be the right length, 43cm approx
cheers Ronnie
That was what i thought too, maybe it's streched a bit...
I'm thinking of buying the sword and selling the portepee. What's a fair price, collector to collector ?
For the portepee i mean...

The sword has arrived.
After I paid the money, the former owner told me that the son of the original owner, was fighting on German side in WWII. He probably brought the portepee with him home and later on attached it to his father's sword. Interresting ! So Idid a little research and got the name of the son. Are there any list on foreigners fighting with the germans ? Or any other way, I can find some more info ?
Some of the DNSAP members were in the Bovrup file, if you can gain access to that.
Of course not all DNSAP members are in that file, nor were all Danish volounteers in the German armed forces members of the DNSAP
By the way... I think the sword is a shooting price.. Makes it little more attractive
