I've seen this exact portepee, but without the green lines in the endpiece - all white instead. What's the difference...? A different police force?

Would these fit re-issued 98/05 bayonets aswell? I have one V-notched 1920 marked bayonet like that, and I might look for a fitting frog and/or knot... ;-)

Thanks Chopperman! That's amazing... I have the second one, every third cord is green and the center red strap does not have the bordering. Exactly.

"Reich protection police". How was that different to the "Municipal protection police"? I'm guessing it was the so called "federal" police(?)

What kind of frog would be a match...?

Nice reference work btw! I have quite the collection of reference works, but never looked for portepees before. Having the correct works proves to be invaluable again :-)
