Hi, a very nice looking Polizie sword. Whilst I am not a blade collector, I bought an officers one of these just before Christmas to replace one lost over the years that my Granddad had brought back from Germany during the war. Leon.

The portepee raises again a question i still can't answer ...

Your portepeeis the police officer model ... Does it also apply on NCOs swords ?

Mine has this portepee :



I've read that is the regular Polizei NCO portepee but i also read it is the ShutzPolizei portepee no matter Officer or NCO model ....

Which is the right definition ?

I do not know if this is the correct one or not. This is what was on it when I got but that does not mean its correct. I am sure someone on here will know, have been going through my books but have not come up with anything yet. Thanks for noticing this. Nice swords displayed here. Cheers Brian
