Hi all..i know that this is an old topic but i would make my ideas clear on those wonderful swords. I've read in the Angolia's book that the hilt was aluminium gilted (or silvered) made...but i've read that also exist with early heavy brass hilt . Is it true?? Many thanks

As these swords were produced late when metals were required for war effort preparation they were produced in aluminum as where the Eickhorn "Feldmarshalls" series. The heavy brass series is a post 45 production.

Thought I would add this as it reflects the Eickhorn catalog and a printing block used by the Eickhorn company in their ad,s if you notice that the sword model number is noted in the catalog and on the printers block where its backwords for printing purposes. Picked the printers block up years ago in Germany.
